BET Awards Weekend 2010

What a weekend...

Friday

PLANEJANE was on the bill for SUMMER JAM (Freak Fest), along wit Samm, Erk Tha Jerk and Big Rich just to name a few acts, DJ Truth was on the 1's an 2's. I hyped for Planejane during her set and we performed "No Pressure". But PLANEJANE killed it when she performed one of her hardest singles " Unleashed", her delivery was crisp and she gassed over the track as the beat dropped an she ripped it a cappella an when the beat dropped back in she kept it goin before she brought the act to a close. Kool John an Kiid Phresh were stand in the crowd with PLANEJANE CD's and they ran out by the time the performance was over... The crowd gave a round of applause and congradulated us on getting my song " Get Money" featuring PLANEJANE & Young Bari.

Saturday

Immediately after the show, Me, Kool John, PLANEJANE, Rossi and Skip hit the Road to Los Angeles. Smashed there in 5 1/2 hours. We hit the West Coast Awareness Confrence at the LA convention center in downtown LA. That shit was extremely informative. They covered all the key points of the music business thru panels of DJ's, Major Record Exects from Convict Records and interscope. And my favorite, the artist panel. The homie Big Rich was reppin hard for the Bay. He said what needed to be said on the current state of the bay... Bruh kept it trill. Glasses Malone was also on the panel, Kinary, XXL Top Ten Hip Hop Freshman, Jay Rock.
Jay Rock was a solid dude. He told me he fucks wit Mistah Fab an he got love for Oakland. He also gave me some good personal advice about promoting my songs once they get played on the radio. He a solid dude.

Sunday

Hot sun blazin on us in downtown LA at USC college. We chillin on the red carpet for the BET pre awards show. ( 106th Park live! We was right there surrounded by stars from Pharrell Williams, Rick Ross, P Diddy, J Cole, Keri Hilson, T.I, B.o.B Ludacris Trey Songz etc... We was just chillin on the red carpet with all these celebs walin back & fourth. Not on no far away shit either. Everyone was like arms length, ( no homo) I didn't wanna hug nobody or no shit like that... but it was solid you feel me...lol!

After the show we hit Rosco's Chicken & Waffles an ate like champions! Lol... (I'm loaded typin this shit) then we headed out to Baldwin Hills to watch the actual awards show. We gassed up the SUV, rolled up the rest a the dro, strolled down Crenshaw Blvd to the Freeway an the rest was history...

What a weekend...
